Double-Blind Peer Review Guidelines

Law and Innovation Society journal conducts double-blind reviews to provide original and high-quality legal research. The usual peer review period does not exceed two months.

Articles are published after receiving positive feedback from two reviewers appointed by the editors. The editorial board of the journal involve reviewrs - experts on the topic on which the submission is made, as well as involve external reviewers - experts in the propriate scientific field. Reviewers evaluate the article in terms of originality, adequacy of methods and relevance of analysis results and decide whether to accept the article unchanged, or only after adjusting the articles in accordance with the comments, or reject the submitted material. The review period is up to three weeks.

Once the favorable or unfavorable concept of the reviewers has been obtained the concept of the reviewers will be communicated to the authors who will have to attend the observations and suggestions for the publication of the article within the time indicated for it by the editorial team. If the article has received one negative response from the reviewer, the journal sends the article to a third reviewer for review. And if the article receives 2 negative reviews, the article is not accepted. The final decision is up to the editor or subject editor of the journal.

If the document is rejected, the manuscript will be withdrawn and cannot be submitted to the journal again.

Plagiarism and AI Policy

Only original articles are accepted for publication in the journal. Each submitted manuscript undergoes screening for plagiarism and the use of artificial intelligence (AI). The editorial policy emphasizes compliance with applicable legislation and the ethical principles of academic integrity, in particular the inadmissibility of plagiarism. If any evidence of plagiarism or self-plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected and the author will be notified. If plagiarism is identified after the article has been published in an issue, such article shall be subject to retraction by decision of the editorial board. The decision on retraction is adopted by a simple majority vote of the editorial board and formalized in the minutes.

In the event of complaints regarding violations of academic integrity and publication ethics, such complaints are considered by the editorial board with the conduct of necessary checks, including requests to the author, etc. If evidence of violations of academic integrity is established, the editorial board, by a simple majority vote, adopts a decision in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, including, where appropriate, editorial retraction (withdrawal) of the article.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is permitted for the purposes of facilitating the search and processing of various sources, clarifying certain data such as statistical indicators, as well as for formatting references and/or the bibliography. Such use is acceptable only where AI does not replace the analytical, research, and synthesizing contribution of the authors. In cases where any AI model is used, the author is required to indicate which specific model was used and in which part of the work. The editorial office uses plagiarism detection tools and AI detectors, including, in particular, https://www.plag.com.ua/ and https://isgen.ai/uk. Taking into account the shortcomings and inaccuracies of many detectors, as well as their tendency toward aggressive marketing of paid services (which may incorrectly classify fully original text as AI-generated in order to promote paid features), the editorial office requests reviewers to additionally verify suspicious parts of the manuscript manually, including by using other detection tools. The final decision on the possibility and appropriateness of publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief in accordance with the recommendations of the issue editor.
